Dani Coder

News Number 5

Hello everyone! I know that it has been more than a month, since I've last made a post, and this one is outstanding! I just kept forgetting to make one, then it crossed my mind today, and I went strait to it!

During the mid-February, last month, I've constantly been getting the urge, to make a software, similarly to ZanzCode. My own software people can use, to make... games!

I've never thought what it'd turn out to be, I was just itching to begin working on it. So, the next day, I began strait away! Hacking away at the keyboard for what seemed like hours, and I got a basic box-drawer, and colour changer. The next day, however, the file was unable to open. After sulking about it for a day, I re-opened my eyes, and started over.

Today, I'm as far as letting people add in code to manipulate objects, and their surroundings.

The game is still in heavy development, and I see no publish date ahead, not right now.

I have been posting videos on Dani Coder on You-Tube, showing my progress, and people have kept commenting asking me to show them how I do it. So I decided to make a "Let's Make A Program" series, with different chapters relating on different topics in it and episodes for each, where I code everything and explain it. I've gotten good feedback thus far.

I've also been making side tutorials, called 'Flash Help' with things I've learnt and willing to share, or something I'm doing for the first time.

Last night kept wondering, how does one make a clicker-idle game. Today, I just decided to attempt making one, in a tutorial at the same time, so I got two birds with one stone.

Most of the post would have been about Dani Coder's progress, but I've already added a lot of videos on You-Tube about it, so I've decided not to. Below are the features videos of today:

1. The first devlog on Dani Coder

2. The last devlog on Dani Coder made since this post

3. The idle clicker first tutorial

4. Let's Make A Program Episode one
